Pawn of Prophecy (Belgariad)

Pawn of Prophecy - David Eddings Another fantasy book that hooked me in to the genre and delighted and inspired me to write myself. I fell in love with the character of Garion and ALL the characters that David Eddings explores in this and the other books of this series. He is an amazing writer who just weaves a dream for you to experience and the duality of good and evil is explored through magic in a delightful way. I really was drawn into Garion's world, right from his childhood in his Aunt Pol's kitchen to his rise of power and ultimate adult mistakes and lessons learned about pride and love - fantastic book, in my opinion a fantasy classic!
